Noticeboard

For Information only -

We as a practice are required by the Government and under the terms of our latest GP contract to allocate all patients a Named Accountable GP.  The practice has a record of this and if you wish to know the name of your Accountable GP, please ask at reception. This does not affect you in any way and you can still see any member of the practice team.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
